The Olight SR95 is a rather bright flashlight. Indeed, when I say "rather bright", I mean you might sear out someone's retinas if you shined it in a person's eyes. This behemoth is dripping with gallons of luminous intensity and will drench the terrain for hundreds of yards with its brilliance. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
1 - Illuminating power - Wielding this flashlight is like brandishing a shard of the sun. Indeed, the quality and performance grazes exotic flashlight territory at a mere fraction of the price. Whatever your application, this flashlight is more than equal to the task. It's not a Polarion Nightreaper, but it's also not $3k+.

2 - Size/Weight - This flashlight is surprisingly small and light for the power it is capable of projecting. It is by no means a compact flashlight, but it IS easily portable and offers a great deal of performance given its relative form factor.

3 - Durability/Battery Life - The flashlight is solidly constructed and Olight definitely didn't skimp on the heatsink. While the flashlight hasn't suffered any abuse as of yet (I'm usually good about not dropping things), it looks to be built to handle a great deal of punishment. The battery life is also exceptional. I've used the SR95 intermittently for several months and the indicator is still reading full. As well, the battery is plug-in rechargeable and screws off and on easily, rounding out this well-thought-out instrument.

4 - Presentation - It's an attractive flashlight in an attractive case. It has looks to match its performance.

Cons:
1 - Illuminating power - This flashlight is extremely powerful. Near a populated area, especially on its highest setting, I could easily see this flashlight drawing the attention of others, and eventually the authorities. Whether they send people to rescue you (you could compare Olights when they get there) or arrest you (you could blind them with your Olight when they get there, though I don't recommend it), it's likely that anyone seeing the spear of light this thing casts into the sky will think something peculiar is up. Using this light means be very cognizant of just how powerful/visible it is. Also, don't plan on using this extensively indoors. It'll overdo the job if used within your home and fill it with blinding light. If the power goes out, you could set it pointing upward and be set for the next couple of hours, so long as you didn't look in the direction of the SR95.

2 - Price - This is not an inexpensive flashlight. I picked one up for $280 shipped on a rare sale, which is a steal for a light of this caliber. At that price, you'd be well-served buying one for its "just-in-case" value. At it's normal price of around $400, I'd say you'd need to be a pretty frequent camper/hiker or someone with a use for this flashlight to justify purchasing it over other, less expensive alternatives.

So there you have it! A great light at a great value. If you night-fish, this light is worth every penny, and if you have any use for this kind of illuminating-power, you're getting the best bang for your buck with the SR95. If you are lucky enough to find one from a reliable vendor for under $300, I'd say buy it just to have it around in the event of an emergency or if you have to blind a mob. At the very least, it's a finely crafted instrument that's nice to have around if you need it.
