This item was to replace a failing Chili Pepper pump so we had experience with hot water pumps. We were amazed at how quiet this unit is. It sits on the bottom of a wood cabinet under the last sink in the master bath. The former pump was so loud we hesitated to use it when the other person was asleep. This unit we have to open the cabinet door to hear when it finishes running. It pumps fairly fast, gets hot water to the far bath in about 30-40 seconds. We love that we save so much water, and also save on the electric bill. This unit seems built so much better, solid steel, seems almost commercial made.
Only small hiccup was that the thermocouple leaked a slight amount of water when first installed, which was easily taken care of with a wrench. I think this was more probably due to the lack of packing used in the box with the pump, and it probably got knocked around a bit. But overall, this is a unit I would recommend and am well pleased with.
