I did a lot of research and decided to purchase this unit. It is not only one of very few brands that still uses magnesium anode rods, this unit actually contains two of them. One is in a separate port as normal and the second rod is in the hot water outlet port. Very few people understand the importance of checking and changing these rods for extending the life of the water heater. This unit also has 3 full inches of insulation, again uncommon.
