We love our Calcutta ceiling fan. We have a light blue ceiling and this white looks fabulous against it. My son is a general contractor and he told me to get a fan with bigger blades as it will work better and be quieter than fans with small blades. This fan has a few different speeds, the fast speed is really fast, yet you can't hear it. Our hanging light sways a bit it is so fast, but you don't hear a thing.
