The laser worked well by itself and worked well with the detector, but did not work with the remote. It had absolutely no response to the remote. I called Berger and described the problem and they told me to test the remote by looking at the remote's two sending signal bulbs through the viewing screen of a digital camera while any command button on the remote was being pushed. If the two bulbs appeared to be lighting as viewed through the camera screen, the remote was probably ok and the problem probably was within the laser itself and my only recourse was to send it back which I did.
