Siglent SDS1102CML Digital Oscilloscope 100MHz 1GSa/s 7'' 2 Channel Review

I purchased the SDS1102CML as my first real oscilloscope. Over a period of a couple of days I got used to the software and capabilities and believed it to be quite capable for the cost point.

Unfortunately, the build quality (or software) of the 1102CML is somewhat questionable. On the 3rd day of ownership pressing the power button resulted in the fan turning on but no lights and a black screen. Research on the internet showed this to be a problem that was seen by a few owners with an unknown solution.

I returned the product and hope that whatever flaw exists in the current design is resolved soon. I believe this to be a good quality scope for the dollar... when it works.
