This faucet was purchased to replace a Grohe Ladylux with a pull-out style spray head that broke after 8 years. Since I like the design I decided to give it another shot, this time upgrading to the Grohe "Real Steel" stainless in an attempt to minimize plastic parts. (32 298 SDE)
The problem: We have really high water pressure, so I didn't think twice about the flow rate limitations. I also was not concerned with the fact that you have to hold the button down while using the spray feature. After all, the point of this type of faucet is that you have a high pressure, directed spray so you should only need to hold it down for a moment. Nope. As soon as it was installed, the flow limitation reduced the pressure so much that the spray feature was, at best, ok. At worst, our hands began to cramp. I called the plumber back and asked if they could adjust it; no, this is the rate set by the factory. I called Grohe, just sure that there must be an error. No one ever called back. The broken faucet I was replacing worked better. So disappointed.
The solution: My plumber took pity on me and told me how to fix it. Unscrew the spay head and, voila! The little piece of plastic that limits the flow is right there! Grab a pair of needle nose pliers and yank that sucker out. You'll be ever so glad you did.
Now I have a beautiful faucet that works just like it should, and was worth every penny. Minus 1 star for the need to modify it and the fact that Grohe never called me back.
