The unit is pretty good and sturdy. It has some unnecessary bells and whistles like lights and timers and one major flaw. The tip of the metal board has a squared off tip with corners that prevent smooth shoulder ironing and threaten to poke indentations into delicate knits. I called customer service, and they suggested I use a sleeve board. The whole point of a foldaway board is to reduce clutter in a small space! Even my old $14.99 basic ironing board had a gently rounded tip. I've spent much time and energy trying to pad the end of the board without defeating the convenience of a foldaway board. There is room for a rounded tip in the case. The square tip does not show up well in online photos of the product.

After reading a review made by a user of the CST Berger transit, I decided to try this new DeWalt one. I am very well pleased. Only having been able to find the level version, I decided to order it from Amazon.

From my experience, this is a very useful tool, especially for basic surveying and leveling. I have tried laser tools of this sort and have been disappointed.

Recently, I used this transit to do a site survey for installing a satellite TV system in a heavily wooded area. Since the transit does not include a magnetic compass, I placed a Silva plate compass on the top of the telescope, while level. Fortunately, there were no iron or steel close enough to affect the compass and to keep it from seeking magnetic north. Having done this, I easily set the base plate to true north. Using the vertical transit and azmuth feature, I knew exactly where to place the satellite mounting pole for the best clearances between the trees.

Quality of construction, smoothness of movement and fit is quite good for an inexpensive transit.

the top of faucet is too high. when your washing hands or dishes the water splashes out onto the counter top. I have a smallish sink. if one has a huge sink there may be less splashing.

Also dislike that once spray is depressed, you cannot return to normal outflow unless you turn the water off. That is, pressing the spray button twice will not return to normal water flow.

Very good strudy product. In the pictures on Amazon, it has a very thin look to it, but when it arrived and we touched it, you can feel the heft. If you squeeze the center divider, the metal does not move.
